Olivia's Dream is raising funds to provide complete Thanksgiving dinners 🍽 (full turkey dinner and dessert) from Giant Eagle to families with children who have experienced a traumatic event. So many words to describe a man like Frank Pines...selfless, humble, caring, loyal, strong, passionate, dedicated, morally grounded, etc. For me personally, the ultimate family man is what I think of first. Frank has been a father or older brother to many, but those who received that treatment truly earned it. Frank’s huge heart was out there for anyone who needed anything, no questions asked. If you asked him for anything, the response was always, “Anything you need.” Receiving that response from him was so uncomfortable, because he’s one of the few who actually meant it. Supporting me through my cancer battle, then being in my immediate circle when Olivia passed, made me feel incredibly special. When we decided to start Olivia’s Dream, I had to develop a board of directors with the best people I knew. The people I asked are those I trusted most to carry Olivia’s legacy. I didn’t know what to expect when I asked Frank to be on the board. All I knew was that I needed people who embodied what Olivia wanted—to spread immense kindness amongst the many. Frank jumped at joining us, not because he felt obligated, but because he always chose to help those who deserved it. Frank’s place on our board was significant in our development. He even tried to balance Olivia’s Dream while going through tough times during COVID at Scalpers/Sharpy’s. He was the perfect founding board member. Frank never met Olivia in person, but he hosted her birthdays at Scalpers for many years. Birthday parties are the best at home, but when you have so many to host, where is the second home to do it? Scalpers BAR & Grille with Frank. I can go on and on about his greatness, but for now, I’ll end with this… Thank you, Sir, for everything you’ve done for me, but more importantly what you’ve done for Olivia. I hope you and Olivia find each other so she can tell you how amazing you are.
