Did you know? π§ Trauma often serves as a root cause for substance use disorders (SUDs). While the behavior of addiction is what we see on the outside, much of recovery involves healing what’s underneath that fuels it.
Recognizing the link between the two can help us respond with more care and support for those who are struggling! β€οΈπ©Ή
Hitting new milestones π The total number of families we've helped since our founding in 2018 has officially surpassed 150! πͺ
Olivia's Dream provides assistance to families in the aftermath of traumatic events, including disasters (e.g., house fires), the traumatic loss of a loved one (e.g. suicide), and other crises.
Our support helps meet basic needs such as food, clothing, transportation, medical supplies, and other essentials while families begin rebuilding their lives. We also connect families with mental health services and healing programs such as summer camp and animal-assisted therapy.

On February 28, 2026, Olivia would have turned 16 years old π
There’s nothing she would have wanted more than to celebrate with friends and family at her very own Sweet 16.
To honor this special milestone, we invite you to join us for Olivia's Sweet 16 birthday celebration on Saturday, February 28, from 7-10PM (location to be announced). All are welcome!
More details will be shared soon, but we wanted to let everyone know early so you can plan to be there. π π Stay tuned.
Brrrr, it's cold out there π₯Ά Stay warm and safe today, and avoid necessary travel. If you do need to be on the roads, drive slow and give yourself extra time. Huge thanks to all the snow removal crews working around the clock to keep our streets clear. βοΈπ

It’s hard to believe it’s been 8 whole years since we launched Olivia’s Dream. What began as a way to honor Olivia’s wish to provide Christmas gifts to children during the holidays has now grown into a multi-faceted non-profit organization that serves victims of trauma across Greater Cleveland. π©·
Each year, we work to get better—be better. But what does that mean? For our team, reaching more people in need and taking action to bring aid when trauma occurs.
We don’t often pause to celebrate the wins but last year’s accomplishments are something we’ll soak in for a bit!
As always, and on behalf of the Olivia’s Dream team, thank you ALL for your continued support. None of this would be possible without you!
Our jump from 16,000 toys donated in 2024 to 20,196 toys donated in 2025—made possible by your support—was also driven by the addition of more fire departments joining our efforts.
Alongside the Mentor Fire Department, we’d like to extend a special thank-you to our friends at Solon Fire Rescue, whose partnership provided a significant boost to our totals and helped secure a feature article on cleveland.com.
We are also grateful to the City of Solon Ohio, Chief Toth, and Lt. Shaun Parsons for their outstanding support and collaboration! β€οΈ

Merry Christmas from Olivia's Dream! ππ
The total count for the 2025 Olivia’s Dream Toy Drive is in…
β¨ Together, we collected 20,196 brand-new, unwrapped toys for children in need to open on Christmas morning! That’s an increase of more than 4,000 toys compared to 2024!
This wouldn’t have been possible without the countless individuals who donated, along with the local businesses, cities, fire departments, police departments, and more who helped us gather toys and spread the word.
Olivia’s dream continues because of YOU. And this year, there’s no doubt in our minds — we made her proud. β€οΈπ
Our 2025 Toy Drive was made possible thanks to the incredible generosity and dedication of so many people π
A special shoutout goes to our friends at the Mentor Fire Department, who hosted the first-ever Stuff the Squad event at Target in Mentor. They filled an entire ambulance with toys for kids in need to open on Christmas! We also appreciate the Mentor Police Department officers who joined in to help.
Thank you all. β€οΈβ€οΈ Your support will bring joy to so many children over the holiday!
